Elaine Lee, PhD
Research Program Officer
Dr. Lee earned her Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from Yale University where she studied gene regulation and characterized novel nucleic acids. Her postdoctoral work at Harvard Medical School focused on the role of small RNAs in gene control. Prior to graduate school, she worked at the National Institutes of Health where she studied a rare autoimmune disease called the Autoimmune Lymphoproliferative Syndrome.
As a Research Program Officer and member of the Jain Foundation Scientific Advisory Board, Dr. Lee is involved in implementing and supporting the strategic goals of the Foundation. She is also working with Dr. Rufibach on the Foundation's clinical efforts, including the International Clinical Outcome Study for Dysferlinopathy, the International Dysferlinopathy Registry, and various diagnostic strategies.
Dr. Lee joined the Jain Foundation in February 2012.
