Energy Metabolism, 1H-MRS and MRI Muscle Measurements in Dysferlin Deficient and WT Mice
Project Summary: Charles River Discovery Research Services (formerly Cerebricon) is a contract research organization with expertise in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) in a variety of neurological and neuromuscular disease models. Charles River Discovery Research Services will follow the changes (such as wasting) that occur in the muscles of live dysferlin deficient BLAJ mice and C57BL/6 control mice at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months of age to determine whether MRI/MRS can be used for preclinical drug testing. Charles River Discovery Research Services will also assess whether energy metabolism in the muscles of BLAJ mice differs from normal mice and whether this can be used as a read-out for preclinical drug testing.
