Tool Sharing Network

The Jain Foundation actively encourages the sharing of research tools and resources between laboratories. To this end, the foundation established and maintains a Tool & Resource Sharing Network -- a private community in which scientists can search for resources such as reagents, cell lines, animal models, protocols, facilities/equipment, and expertise developed by other scientists in the dysferlin and LGMD2B/Miyoshi communities. All members of the sharing network are required to offer at least one resource from their laboratory as a condition for registration, and are then able to search the full listing of available resources from other laboratories. The network contains information on the conditions associated with obtaining each available resource and the contact information for the principal investigator offering the resource. All research tools generated using Jain Foundation funding must be listed here.
