Abhimanyu Garg, MD is a Professor of Internal Medicine and Chief of the Division of Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He holds a Distinguished Chair in Human Nutrition Research. Anil Agarwal is also a Professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Eduard Gallardo is a Senior Researcher at the Institut de Recerca de l’Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona. Dr. Gallardo is a biologist who holds a PhD in Inflammatory Myopathies. He was among the first to characterize the inflammatory findings in dysferlinopathies. The Neuromuscular Diseases group in Barcelona is focused in immune mediated diseases of peripheral nerve and muscle and on muscular dystrophies. They have a special interest in dysferlinopathies and they have been studying them since the cloning of the gene in 1998.

Dr. Dastur is the project leader for the Jain Foundation - CAMDND project on the genetics of dysferlinopathy in India. CAMDND has been part of the ongoing Jain Foundation - India project for the last 12 yrs. Dr. Dastur has a Ph.D. in Applied Biology from the University of Mumbai. She has published over 30 papers in national and international Journals.

Dr. Currie is a Professor at Monash University in the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute.

Dr. Cooper is a Conjoint Senior Lecturer in the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health, Children's Hospital, Westmead, Australia.

Dr. Butler-Browne leads the Remodeling, Regeneration and Cell Therapy of Striated Muscle team at the Institut de Myologie (Paris, France).
